Es Trenc Beach
One of Mallorca’s largest, unspoilt beaches, and definitely its most iconic. Located to the south of the island, between the Colònia de Sant Jordi and Ses Salines. Blessed with fine sand, this gently sloping beach is washed by ripples and small waves. It is known to many as the Mallorcan Caribbean on account of its crystal-clear waters.
Playa dels Estanys
One of the most tranquil beaches on the island. Renowned for its calm, turquoise waters, its natural setting beside the Es Trenc salt flats, and its local and familiar atmosphere. It’s the ideal place to enjoy one of the best sunsets Mallorca has to offer.
Playa Es Dolç
Crystal clear waters, in different shades of blue. Fine, white sand and natural dunes all around you. Es Dolç beach embodies the very essence of the Mediterranean. One of the favourite beaches of local residents, located just a short walk from the port of Colònia de Sant Jordi.
Playa de Cala Mendia
Ein Strand mit kristallklarem, flachem Wasser, beinahe ohne Wellen, und sehr feinem Sand - ideal für Familien mit Kindern. Er liegt an der Ostküste Mallorcas, ganz in der Nähe von Manacor und Porto Cristo. Umgeben von Klippen bietet er malerische Fotomotive, die zu einzigartigen Erinnerungen werden.
Playa de Cala Anguila
This beach hugs a large inlet with turquoise waters, located between Cala Magrana and Cala Mendia, making it ideal for young children and snorkelling fans. Beside its cliffs, you’ll come across marés, the stone used to build Mallorca Cathedral.
Playa de Cala Romàntica
Also known as the Playa de Estany d’en Mas, it’s located just before Cala Mendia. It is highly attractive to the eye, thanks to its fine white sand shining in the sun, contrasting with its three shades of blue water. This tranquil bay has all the usual services and is perfect for families.
Colònia de Sant Jordi
A former fishing port transformed into one of the most charming spots in the south of Mallorca. The atmosphere in this well-kept village is very local and quiet. Located very close to the beach at Es Trenc and its impressive salt flats. Boats leave from its port to the island of Cabrera.
Ses Salines
Located just 5 km from the Colònia de Sant Jordi, the village of Ses Salines is synonymous with tradition, local gastronomy and handicrafts. One of its most famous landmarks is its beautiful lighthouse. If you walk along the coast road from the lighthouse, you’ll come to Es Carbó, one of Mallorca’s best unspoilt beaches.
Santanyí
Well known for its handicrafts market, its bohemian atmosphere and its chic style. Its narrow streets are home to local artists’ workshops, small shops and sun-drenched terraces. It’s also very close to such well-known coves as Caló des Moro and Cala S’Almunia.
Porto Cristo
A small fishing village oozing with local charm. Located on the east coast, close to Manacor and the iconic Drach and Hams Caves. It is popular for its lovely traditional port, with delightful terraces where you can enjoy a variat - the classic selection of Mallorcan tapas.
Capdepera
One of the most charming villages on Mallorca’s east coast. Capdepera is renowned for its medieval charm. In fact, every year, the village holds a huge themed market in its castle, a large, perfectly preserved 14th century fortress that overlooks the village from the hilltop.
Artà
The very essence of the Mediterranean and with an artistic soul to boot. Artà is one of the liveliest villages in Mallorca’s interior. Shops selling ceramics, wickerwork baskets and jewellery, art galleries and workshops… And, towering over the village, the Sanctuary of Saint Salvador, which provides the best panoramic view to be had anywhere on the east coast of Mallorca.
Valldemossa
Considered one of the most beautiful villages in the world by National Geographic, it is located in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This village enjoys a special relationship with the arts; its spectacular Carthusian monastery once welcomed Chopin and George Sand as guests.
Palma de Mallorca
The capital of the Balearic Islands, Palma brings together history, culture, architecture, sea and an unbeatable atmosphere. Its old town centre is full of elegant courtyards, luxury shops, charming art workshops and lively terraces. One thing you just have to see? A visit to La Seu is a must; it’s the only Gothic cathedral beside the sea.
Cuevas del Drach
Stalactites, stalagmites and tunnels stretching for over 2 km, 25 metres below the ground. The Drach Caves are spectacular, but they are also famous for having one of the world’s largest underground lakes - the venue for classical music concerts and light shows.
Palma Aquarium
Home to more than 8,000 marine animals, the Palma Aquarium is one of the most important in Europe. As well as providing an opportunity to explore marine life, the aquarium’s facilities include tropical gardens, activities for the whole family and an underground tunnel that allows visitors to ‘walk’ among sharks.
Salinas de Es Trenc
Blau Colònia de Sant Jordi is just a short distance from Mallorca’s most famous salt flats. This rosy-hued protected natural space is full of infinite reflections. Salt has been harvested by hand here for centuries and is today marketed under the brand name Flor de Sal d’Es Trenc.
Parque Nacional de Cabrera
Have you ever heard of the Blue Cave? It’s one of the most spectacular places anywhere in the world and it’s right here in Cabrera. The only way to visit this protected island is by boat, which leaves from the port of Colònia de Sant Jordi. The boat trip allows you to visit the lighthouse, swim in the cave and hike on the island.
Torre del Serral dels Falcons
One of the best places in Mallorca to watch the sunrise. This 16th-century defence tower rises over the stunning Cala Romántica cliffs. The tower can be accessed on foot from Blau Punta Reina, along a path that winds through pine trees and offers stunning sea views.
Museo de Historia de Manacor
Archaeological objects, ethnographic artefacts and historic curiosities abound in this local museum in the former convent of Sant Vicenç Ferrer. Visitors can enjoy a comprehensive overview of local history - the museum is a perfect cultural activity for the family on a quiet day.
