  • What documents do I need to present when I check in?
    Upon arrival at any Blau hotel, please check in at the front desk to receive access to your room. To check in, you must present a valid official identification document (ID card or passport) for each guest, including children. For reservations prepaid by credit card, the cardholder may also be asked to present their card at check-in.
  • When can I check in and when do I have to vacate my room?
    At our hotels in Mallorca, Asturias and the Caribbean, check-in is generally available from 3pm and check-out is by 12 noon. For hotel-specific times, please refer to your booking confirmation or the hotel information sheet.
  • What happens if I arrive late at the hotel?
    Don’t worry. Our reception is either open 24/7 or equipped with a check-in system to accommodate late arrivals. Please let the hotel know if you expect to arrive after midnight.
  • What happens if I lose my room keycard?
    Simply inform our staff at the reception desk. They will provide you with a new keycard. For security reasons, the previous one will be deactivated.
  • Who should I call if I have any questions or problems in my room?
    Simply use the telephone in your room to contact reception at any time. Our team is always available to assist you.
  • Where can I find special Blau Hotels accommodation deals?

  • Is Blau Hotels a pet-friendly hotel chain?
    Although we fully understand that pets are part of the family, they are currently not allowed in our hotels. We have taken this decision to avoid any possible inconvenience to other guests who may be allergic to or have a phobia of animals.
  • What is a ‘tourist tax’?
    It is a regional tax applied in certain Spanish regions and cities. Visitors are obliged to pay this tax. The proceeds are used to promote sustainable tourism. In the case of Mallorca, it is levied by the Government of the Balearic Islands. All tourist establishments in the Balearics must apply this tax to guests over the age of 16.   • How is the tourist tax calculated in Mallorca?
    The amount varies depending on the season and the category of the hotel. The regional government provides a tool that allows you to calculate how much Sustainable Tourism Tax you will have to pay during your stay. Please click on this link.
  • Are Blau Hotels open all year round?
    Our hotels in Asturias, Havana and Varadero are open all year. Our hotels in Mallorca close during the winter months and adapt their opening times according to the season.
  • Are the hotel pools heated?
    That depends on the hotel and the season. Some of our hotels, such as Blau Colonia Sant Jordi, Blau Gran Hotel Las Caldas and Blau Hotel Las Caldas, have heated indoor pools. For more information, please refer to your hotel’s information sheet.
  • Are your outdoor pools open all year round?
    The pools in our hotels in Asturias and the Caribbean are open all year round. In Mallorca, some pools may close or have limited opening hours in the low season (February to May and October to November), depending on the weather and occupancy levels.
  • Do you provide towels for the beach and pool?
    Yes, all our hotels provide towels for you to use during your stay. Please ask at reception on arrival, and the hotel team will provide you with full information.
  • Is smoking permitted inside the hotels?
    No, smoking is not permitted inside the hotels. Guests may smoke in designated outdoor areas, provided that you follow the instructions offered by each hotel, in line with local regulations.
  • Are there accessible rooms at Blau hotels?
    Yes. Several of our hotels have specially adapted rooms for guests with reduced mobility. If you require such a room, please remember to request one when making your booking.
  • Are adjoining rooms available?
    Yes, some of our hotels can provide connecting en-suite double rooms. It’s a great idea for families or groups.
  • Are children under 4 allowed into the Mini Club?
    Generally, our children’s clubs are are designed for children aged 4 and above. Younger children are welcome to join in the fun but must be accompanied by an adult. This ensures that everyone is relaxed, safe and happy.
  • Are children allowed into the wellness areas or the spa?
    In some of our hotels, children are permitted in specific areas or during set times, always under adult supervision. For example, at the Blau Hotel Las Caldas, children are permitted in the Aquaxana eco-thermal complex, but not in El Manantial (which includes the Balneario Real) as this is an Adults-Only area. We recommend you check the specific terms and conditions of whichever Blau hotel you have chosen for your holiday, by writing to bookings@blauhotels.com
  • Are cots and highchairs available in the hotel?
    Yes. At our family hotels in Mallorca and Asturias, cots and highchairs are available to ensure that our youngest guests enjoy and are as comfortable as possible during their stay. If you require a cot or highchair, please request it when you book or upon arrival at reception.
  • Can I use the hotel’s services and facilities if I am not a guest?
    At some of our hotels, non-guests may use certain services, such as the restaurants, sports courts, or wellness centres. Prior booking is always required. Please contact the specific hotel to confirm availability and details. 
  • Do Blau hotels offer a Day Pass?
    Yes, our hotels in Mallorca offer a range of Day Passes so that non-guests can also enjoy the Blau universe for a day. In our hotels in Asturias, passes are available for the Aquaxana eco-thermal complex, the sports centre and the Balneario Real. Please refer to the hotel information sheet for more details.

  • What is the Blau Hotels cancellation policy?
    It depends on the rate you choose. Flexible rates allow for free cancellation up to a few days before arrival. Non-refundable rates, on the other hand, do not allow for reimbursement. You will receive full details at the time of booking.
  • Can I add special requests to my booking, such as a cot, an extra bed or a specific location?
    When making your booking, please add any such requests in the comments section or email us at bookings@blauhotels.com. We will make every effort to accommodate your needs, although all requests are subject to availability.
